Ancient Therapy FOILS Arthritis Flare-Ups
Mainstream medicine is SO predictable. You go to your doctor with a problem; he sends you home with a drug.
Rheumatoid arthritis fits this formula perfectly. If you have it, you likely have a medicine cabinet full of drugs… arthritis meds, corticosteroids, NSAIDs, you name it.
Which, of course, means you’re also likely dealing with drug side effects like blood pressure issues, bleeding, and tummy troubles to name a few.
And after ALL of that, you could STILL find yourself at the wrong end of an arthritis flare-up.
That’s not medicine. That’s insanity.

I’ve always admired Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) for two simple reasons:
- It tends to provide good results.
- Those results come with few (if any) side effects.
Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is no exception.
Unlike osteoarthritis, a degenerative wearing down of the joints, RA is an autoimmune condition that causes joint pain, swelling, and stiffness.
Daily life with RA is bad enough. But there are also periods when it flares up.
When this occurs, it’s like turning up the volume on your condition.
During a flare, you typically experience a sudden increase in pain, stiffness, and swelling. And that leads to extreme fatigue and further limits on your mobility.
But it turns out TCM can REDUCE your risk of painful and exhausting RA flare-ups.
In a retrospective study of over 1,300 subjects, researchers compared RA patients using TCM to those who were not.
The folks using TCM did significantly better overall. They had less chance of flare-ups, and ultimately, had a higher survival rate.
Now, unfortunately, what this study didn’t do was break down exactly which TCM treatments were used. We know it was a combination of Chinese patent medicines and TCM decoctions.
But the results are encouraging and offer a promising alternative to Western medicine’s merry-go-round of prescription drugs.
For anyone suffering from RA, it’s worth seeking out a practitioner experienced in this time-tested traditional medicine to see if you can achieve similar pain-reducing results.
I suggest looking online to find someone in your area. The National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) offers a Find A Practitioner service on their website, which might be a good place to start your search.
P.S. You can think of RA like a light switch in your body. That switch starts in the “off” position. But recent research reveals that certain foods can flip the switch “on.” While others could help it STAY OFF FOR GOOD.
