Make Your Brain 11 Years Younger (Here’s How)

According to a study published in the journal Neurology, eating just a small amount of leafy greens every day could have a big impact on preserving memory as you get older.

The researchers found that the people who ate leafy greens every day had brains that looked more like people 11 years younger.

As a 70-year-old, imagine having the brain of your 59-year-old self! 

It doesn’t take much, either. Just one and one-thirds cups of raw greens—or a half cup of cooked—should do the trick.

If that doesn’t inspire you to eat your spinach and chard, I don’t know what will.

Veggies can also play a crucial role in stopping heart attacks and strokes. 

When researchers examined the diets of 900 women over 70 years old, they found that women who ate three or more portions of vegetables per day had thinner artery walls.

Thinner artery walls means cleaner blood vessels, while thicker walls have been tied to increased risk of heart attack and stroke. 

But not all vegetables are equal in this heart-protective category. Those with the biggest arterial impact included cruciferous vegetables like broccoli, cauliflower, and cabbage.
