[Alert] The Brain Threat Seniors Are NEVER Warned About
If you’re worried about your brain as you age, you’ve probably heard all of the standard mainstream advice…
Reduce your stress.
Control your blood pressure.
Follow a healthy diet.
Stay mentally and socially engaged.
And I’ll be honest – that’s all pretty good advice.
But there’s a lingering threat to your brain health that modern medicine almost never talks about.
It could put you on the fast track to a stroke… or even dementia.
But I’m going to show you a couple of simple steps that can help keep you safe.
Starting today.
I’ve warned you about the health risks of microplastics before…
They are the tiny particles that come from the breakdown of plastic materials… and they’ve now gotten into everything from the water we drink to the air we breathe.
And there’s increasing evidence that they are migrating straight to our brains.
New research published in Brain Health looked at brain tissue from deceased humans, and found that our brains may hold up to 30 times more microplastics than other organs in our bodies.
And people with dementia tended to have the largest microplastics burden in their brains.
In fact, previous research on mice found that microplastics can cross the blood-brain barrier in as little as two hours after exposure.
So the damage can happen – and start building up – very, very quickly.
The more research that comes in on microplastics, the more grave the threat appears. This stuff is very bad news, and mainstream medicine doesn’t have any good answers for it.
Your best bet is to protect yourself.
Now, unfortunately, it’s impossible in today’s modern society to get microplastics out of your life completely. But you can definitely limit your exposure.
Here are some commonsense tips:
Choose filtered or tap water over bottled water: Bottled water often contains tiny plastic particles. Using a good home water filter (like carbon or reverse osmosis) can cut microplastics.
Eat fewer plastic-packaged foods: Microplastics accumulate in packaging.
Vacuum your home with a HEPA filter: This can keep microplastics from becoming airborne.
Following these few simple steps can help reduce your microplastics burden. And, as we’re learning, that could prove critical for your aging brain.
