Ancient Remedy STOPS Blood Sugar Spikes
Dear Reader,
Did you know that the most dangerous time of day is often right after a meal?
That’s because after you eat, you could experience dangerously high spikes in your blood sugar levels… even if you don’t have type 2 diabetes.
These after-meal spikes could lead to the kind of permanent damage that can increase your risks for stroke, dementia, heart attacks, and more.
I’ll say it again… even if you don’t have diabetes!
Fortunately, nature has provided a nutrient that specifically protects your body from these silent, deadly glucose spikes… helping you prevent diabetes and all the risks associated with it.
Mulberry leaves have been used for centuries to deal with blood sugar irregularities. Now “modern” science is finally catching up with what these ancient medicine men knew all along.
For this latest study, researchers at the University of Mississippi conducted a double-blind, placebo-controlled study (considered the gold standard of research). It involved 24 people with type 2 diabetes who took either 1,000 mg of mulberry leaf extract or a placebo with their meals for three months.
And sure enough, the people taking the mulberry leaf extract had significantly lower post-meal blood sugar levels.
This confirms a previous study, which showed that mulberry leaves could help prevent diabetes. The way it worked? By reducing after-meal blood sugar spikes.
Now, if you think this means mulberry leaves can somehow magically protect you from the damage caused by eating pizza and French fries, washing it down with a Coke, and topping it off with ice cream, you’re in for a big disappointment.
But if you’re concerned about your blood sugar, and you’re already taking measure to keep your levels in check (like improving the nutritional content of your diet and cutting down on refined carbs and oils), then a supplement like mulberry extract is a great option to give you an extra boost – especially when it comes to keeping those after-meal blood sugar spikes in check.
One final thought on blood sugar tests.
Doctors typically judge your blood sugar levels on a FASTING blood sugar test. I’ve always thought this was ridiculous. If you really want to know what’s going on with your blood sugar, you have to get a glucose test within two hours of eating a meal.
If it’s high, consider taking steps to cut sugar out of your diet. And consider supplementing with mulberry leaf extract to give you an extra boost.
To a brighter day,
