REVERSE Your Type 2 Diabetes?!
Plus: No More Blood Pressure Drugs
When it comes to type 2 diabetes, it can feel like you’re swimming upstream without a paddle.
No matter how many things you cut out of your diet — or how many medications you’re taking — you can still have the uncontrolled blood sugar and high blood pressure that increase your risk of the worst complications of the conditions…
Heart problems, nerve damage, kidney damage, diabetic retinopathy, and more.
But a recent study doesn’t just give diabetics a paddle… it puts them on a speedboat that can help you finally reverse type 2 diabetes, PLUS eliminate your need for blood pressure drugs.
If this sounds too good to be true, you may have bought into the lie that conditions like diabetes and hypertension are irreversible problems that require you to take medications for the rest of your life.
It’s time to set the record straight — and this study is a great start.
For a study called DiRECT (Diabetes Remission Clinical Trial), type 2 diabetics were put on a low-energy diet of just 825-853 calories per day for 12-20 weeks.
Then additional food was added into the diet over a 2-8-week period.
The program was designed to help people lose a significant amount of weight—a main driver of both type 2 diabetes and hypertension.
During the study, the participants stopped taking all of their diabetes or anti-hypertensive drugs.
After just 20 weeks, the participants experienced significant decreases in blood pressure—and those decreases held steady after one and two years.
Ultimately, 28 percent of the participants were able to permanently stop taking their blood pressure meds.
Even better?
Forty-six percent of the participants were in full remission of their type 2 diabetes after 12 months of following this intensive weight loss program.
Imagine that. Losing weight can achieve what no medication can:
Remission of type 2 diabetes, reduced blood pressure, and eliminating the need for blood pressure drugs.
So, what was the magic weight loss number?
33 pounds.
If you’re tired of being on the prescription drug merry-go-round, it’s time to hop off.
This study shows that it IS possible to take control of your diabetes and your blood pressure by losing weight.
It’s not easy, but it’s effective. And of course, be sure to consult your doctor before going off your meds or changing your routine.
And it could change your life.
Of course, be sure to consult your doctor before going off your meds or changing your routine.
