“Magic” Anti-Cancer Nutrient LOWERS Risk 45%?!
There’s no magic pill that can prevent you from getting cancer.
But there is a “magic” nutrient that can dramatically lower your risk…
Other studies have shown its cholesterol-lowering and allergy-fighting benefits. Not to mention, it can also help mitigate your risk of serious conditions like Alzheimer’s and diabetes.
It has been called “magic” in the past because certain varieties have hallucinogenic effects (don’t worry, not the ones I’m telling you about today!).
But as this recent study showed, their effect against cancer is equally magical.
You might have already guessed that I’m talking about mushrooms.
I love to eat mushrooms—especially when they’re sauteed with butter and garlic.
But every time you bite into a mushroom, you’re getting more than a burst of juicy flavor… you’re getting powerful cancer protection.
A recent meta-analysis of 17 studies including 19,000 adults showed that people who ate the most mushrooms on a regular basis had a lower risk of cancer.
When evaluating specific cancers, they found that the strongest association was with breast cancer.
It doesn’t take much, either.
People who ate just 1/8th to 1/4th of a cup per day had a 45 percent lower risk of getting cancer compared to people who didn’t eat mushrooms at all!
Other results have shown equally promising findings…
Another meta-analysis, published just last year, showed that each 10-gram-per-day increase in mushrooms was associated with a 17 percent reduced risk of cancer.
Why are mushrooms so effective in the fight against cancer?
Well, they’re loaded with healthy nutrients that contribute to this powerful protection.
One of the biggest is vitamin D.
Did you know that mushrooms are the ONLY food source of vitamin D that you’ll find in the produce aisle?
Mushrooms are unique because they contain a plant sterol that converts to vitamin D when it’s exposed to light.
In fact, by intentionally exposing mushroom plants to UV light, it’s possible to BOOST their vitamin D content.
Mushrooms also contain selenium, which has been shown to reduce the risk of cancer and other chronic diseases, along with B vitamins and potassium.
The solution here is simple.
For magical cancer protection, start eating more mushrooms.
