Can This Simple FLOWER Stop Anxiety?
There’s plenty of anxiety in America these days.
You’re gripped by constant worries… negative thoughts.
If you’re one of the nearly 7 million Americans suffering from anxiety, you know these crippling symptoms all too well.
And the risky drugs used to treat this devastating disease can actually increase your symptoms… and are highly addictive.
But there’s a better way to treat anxiety.
Because a recent study found a natural solution…and it’s just as potent as a leading anxiety drug…WITHOUT the side effects.
And it’s been sitting right under our noses for centuries (literally).
Lavender has been used in folk medicine or decades because of its calming abilities.
Today, it’s marketed in lotions, bath salts, linen sprays, and you name it, for its soothing scent.
But lavender can do more than help you relax at the end of a long day.
Studies show that this tiny purple flower has a BIG impact on anxiety. In fact, it could be just as effective as some of the most popular anxiety drugs out there.
A study published in Phytomedicine found that lavender oil is just as effective as Valium at alleviating symptoms of anxiety.
But unlike Valium, it has no side effects and is not addictive.
And in a mouse study published in Frontiers in Behavioral Neuroscience, researchers found that the main component in lavender (called linalool) worked in a similar way as Valium.
Again, without the side effects like dizziness and addiction.
Here’s where it gets really interesting. These effects came simply by SNIFFING the lavender compound.
In fact, it ONLY worked when the compound was inhaled.
When the researchers blocked the mice’s ability to smell, the lavender compound didn’t work at all.
In addition to studies showing its direct impact on anxiety, other studies have shown lavender’s ability to combat many of its symptoms like insomnia, restlessness, nervousness, depression, and agitation.
You can pick up dried lavender and lavender oil at your local natural health store.
