GLP-1s stormed onto the market promising effortless weight loss and blood sugar control.

But the side effects just keep piling up.

Now, alarming new research is showing that these meds could leave you with the most painful injury of your life… or even put you in the operating room.

And, honestly, I can’t believe mainstream medicine didn’t see this coming a mile away.

A new study was presented at the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons Annual Meeting.

It was probably a head’s up that these surgeons are about to get a lot more work.

Researchers from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston found that taking GLP-1s can significantly increase your chances of a painful – and even life-changing – tendon rupture.

GLP-1 use was associated with:

  • 55% higher risk of rotator cuff tendon ruptures
  • 49% higher risk of an Achilles rupture
  • And 46% higher odds of a pectoral tendon rupture

These are all injuries that could land you in months of physical therapy, under a surgeon’s knife, or both.

Now, the mainstream medical community is clutching its collective pearls over this research – and for the life of me, I can’t understand why.

This was all entirely foreseeable for anyone willing to look at the truth.

First, we all known that GLP-1 are triggering serious nutrient deficiencies in countless patients. Your tendons depend on an adequate supply of protein, collagen, vitamin C, omega-3s and more.

Second, it has been extensively documented that many people on GLP-1s are losing a lot of muscle. This muscle loss – which is particularly dangerous for seniors – puts additional strain on your tendons.

There’s an old maxim that if something sounds too good to be true, it usually is. And that’s definitely proving to be the case with GLP-1s.

Weight loss doesn’t need to be that complicated. Ditch the ultra-processed foods and stick to a diet that emphasizes real foods. I follow a version of the Paleo diet that emphasizes foods our caveman ancestors would have eaten, like fresh fish (lots of fish for me), meats, vegetables, and nuts.

For most Americans, making these simple changes will make pounds fall off faster than you can imagine.
