Creamy Snack PLUMMETS Breast Cancer Risk (Delicious!)
Invasive breast cancer impacts the lives of one in every eight women.
That’s a staggering statistic.
And of course, you want to do everything in your power to make sure you or someone you love is NOT one of those women.
But wouldn’t it be even better if we could cut that number to 1 in 10, or 1 in 20, or better yet… zero?
I’m hoping for that day.
And it turns out that eating one creamy snack can take us a big step in that direction. Even better? It’s delicious!
Yogurt is good for you because it contains beneficial probiotics.
Until recently, people thought this primarily benefited gut health.
But more recent research shows that yogurt can positively benefit virtually every area of your body… and even PLUMMETS your risk of breast cancer.
There are a few likely explanations for this protection.
One is that harmful bacteria trigger the type of inflammation that causes breast cancer. The live, active cultures in yogurt help reduce bad bacteria, replacing it with the good guys.
Less bad bacteria = less inflammation = less chance of cancer.
Another explanation is that yogurt contains beneficial lactose fermenting bacteria – the same bacteria found in the breast ducts of a woman during lactation.
We know that these bacteria offer protection for women because every year a woman breastfeeds reduces her risk of breast cancer.
The bottom line is that yogurt represents a simple, inexpensive way to boost your overall health and reduce your risk of breast cancer.
As always, just make sure it’s the plain variety and not loaded with sugar.
You can always add some fruit or a bit of honey (preferably local) if you need to sweeten it up a bit.
