Ditch the Chips and DEFY Aging
Sometimes, you just want something to crunch on.
The craving can send even the most health-conscious among us heading straight to the snack aisle.
But before you reach for the potato chips—which can contain all kinds of harmful ingredients—I have a better idea.
Try THIS crunchy, healthy snack instead of loading up ingredients that can lead to weight gain, digestive issues, or cancer.
It provides you with a potent, age-defying nutrient that helps you look younger and feel more energized. Plus, it builds protection against chronic illness as you munch.
The food you eat either builds up your body… or tears it down.
Too often, snack food falls into the “tear it down” category.
But it doesn’t have to.
In a study presented recently at The American Society for Nutrition, people either snacked on…
- apples (the control group),
- baby carrots,
- a multivitamin containing beta-carotene,
- or baby carrots plus a multivitamin.
The goal was to see which group had the most significant increase in carotenoids, plant compounds that give fruits and vegetables their red, orange, and yellow color.
Four weeks later, those who snacked on baby carrots had a 10.8 percent INCREASE in carotenoid levels in their skin.
And in those who ate the carrots AND took a multivitamin, there was a 21.6 percent INCREASE.
Interestingly, there was NO increase in carotenoid levels in those who ate the apples OR in the group just taking the multivitamin.
This tells me that your body absorbs carotenoids better in the form it recognizes best… food.
There are plenty of reasons to want higher carotenoid levels.
For starters, they help give you younger-looking skin because they stimulate collagen and elastin. They also help prevent damage caused by aging.
Beyond skin health, carotenoids are well-known for protecting our eyes. They also reduce the risk of neurodegeneration, dial down disease-linked inflammation, and boost the immune system.
Best of all, you can significantly increase the levels of these healthy plant compounds simply by snacking on baby carrots a few times per week.

P.S. The hidden culprit that’s accelerating aging and disease.
