Everyone knows that carrying around extra weight isn’t good for you.

But that still hasn’t put a dent in the alarming number of people who are overweight or obese (650 million to be exact).

For years, the primary concerns associated with all that extra weight were either developing heart disease or type 2 diabetes.

But more recent research has added another major risk factor to the list

And this one could be the worst of them all.

Recent studies have shown that obesity is responsible for 40% of all cancers.

Now that we’re aware of the connection, more in-depth research is looking more closely at the timing and duration of obesity and cancer risk.

In a recent study, researchers looked at data from 220,000 people that included information on height, weight, and age, and then compared the information to data from national cancer registries.

What they found is that the sooner you gain the extra weight, the higher your chances of developing cancer.

They found that if individuals were overweight or obese before they turned 40, their risk of numerous types of cancer was dramatically increased:

  • 70% higher risk of endometrial cancer
  • 58% higher risk of male renal-cell cancer
  • 29% higher risk of colon cancer
  • 15% higher risk of obesity-related cancers like breast, gallbladder, stomach, liver, pancreas, kidney, ovaries, uterus, colon, and rectum.

They followed the people for about 18 years. But the people who were obese from the get-go (BMI of 30 or higher) had the highest risk of developing obesity-related cancer.

For these particular individuals, the men had a 64% increased risk, while the women had a 48% increased risk.

No matter how you break down the numbers, the result is the same: Being overweight or obese isn’t just bad for you… it will ultimately be the death of you.

Fortunately, there’s a simple way to drop the weight.

All you have to do is eat all of your meals in an 8 to 12-hour window. Start with a 12-hour timeframe, like 8 AM to 8 PM and then scale it down from there.

Many of my patients have seen good weight loss results using this EASY method.
