Get Better Blood Sugar This Holiday Season
Let’s face it. The holidays are NOT good for your waistline… or your blood sugar levels.
Potlucks, family dinners, cookie exchanges, Christmas parties… you know the drill.
So, if you’re one of the 98 million people on the brink of type 2 diabetes, it’s VITAL to take steps to manage your blood sugar levels as you head into the holiday season.
And I have a GREAT way for you to do it (even if you indulge in some pumpkin pie).
Of course, skipping sugary foods is the best option, whether you’re on the brink of type 2 diabetes or not.
But that’s easier said than done, right?
That’s why, as we head into this holiday season, the best advice I can give you is to exercise.
Researchers measured the blood sugar and insulin levels of 32 individuals. Right after having their blood levels drawn to determine baseline measurements, they did 30 minutes of light exercise.
The next day, the volunteer’s blood sugar and insulin levels were significantly reduced.
This shows that ONE single exercise session can have a significant impact on glucose regulation.
Now, imagine if you exercised multiple days a week.
Of course, a study like this one shouldn’t be too surprising. We already know that exercise can help lower blood sugar levels.
However, this study highlighted how a SINGLE exercise session can have a significant impact.
So, if you’re planning on indulging a bit this holiday season (no judgment here!), I recommend getting more exercise to help minimize the damage.
