Medicine Cabinet Staple Sends Heart Failure Risk Rising
For people living with uncontrolled type 2 diabetes, life can become all about managing blood sugar levels… and PAIN levels.
Chronically high blood sugar damages nerves throughout your body. This can cause either pain or numbness (or both) wherever the damage occurs.
And naturally, if you’re living in constant pain, it’s easy to fall into the habit of popping painkillers.
But if that’s the case with you, please keep reading.
Because I need to warn you about a popular painkiller that can send your risk of heart failure skyrocketing.
Ibuprofen is one of the most common pain relievers there is. There’s probably a bottle in your medicine cabinet right now.
But common does NOT mean safe—especially if you have type 2 diabetes.
Researchers followed 300,000 type 2 diabetics for six years.
They found that type 2 diabetics were more than TWICE as likely to develop heart failure if they took ibuprofen.
Those over 65 years old were at an even greater risk of heart failure than those under 65.
This isn’t the first time we’ve gotten bad news about ibuprofen, either. Plenty of other studies have linked taking ibuprofen to an increased risk of heart attack and stroke (whether you have heart disease or not).
And type 2 diabetics have an increased risk of developing heart problems.
So when you put the two together—having type 2 diabetes and taking ibuprofen—it could push that risk over the edge.
I encourage you—whether you have diabetes or not—to think twice before popping ANY pharmaceutical drug.
All of them come with risks. And there are almost always safer alternatives.
P.S. Still battling pain? Reach for THIS perfectly safe, natural painkiller instead. It can be just as effective as ibuprofen, but with none of the risks.
