Morning Brew Reduces Death by 30%
If you’ve been searching for the Fountain of Youth, look no further.
Scientists have identified a drink that can reduce the risk of conditions like…
- Parkinson’s disease
- Heart disease
- Certain types of cancer
- Type 2 diabetes
- And more…
And now, a recent study has shown that having a cup of this health elixir on a daily basis can reduce your risk of dying early by 30 percent.
I’ve talked about its benefits before, but any time a new study comes out touting the health benefits of drinking coffee, you can bet I’m going to tell you about it again.
This time, drinking coffee has been connected to the greatest health benefit of all… a longer life.
For this study, researchers tracked about 170,000 people for seven years. They ranged in age from 37 to 73.
It turns out that those who drank 1.5 to 3.5 cups of coffee per day had a 30 percent reduced risk of dying during the follow-up period, compared to non-coffee drinkers.
This was the case even if people used small amounts of sugar to sweeten their coffee.
Now, when it comes to sugar, less is always better. But if you need a small amount to make it enjoyable, you can add it in without worrying about the health repercussions.
Coffee contains beneficial phenolic compounds that have antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and anti-aging properties.
Just make sure you’re not drinking the sugary mocha Frappuccino’s from Starbucks and the like. It’s basically coffee-flavored candy, and trust me, if it impacts your longevity, it’ll be in the wrong direction.
P.S. The American College of Cardiology recently helped set the record straight about whether or not coffee is good for your heart. Read about it, right here.
