My Top 3 Drug-Free Pain Solutions (ZERO Pills!)
One chronic condition impacts more folks than diabetes, heart disease, and cancer… combined. And that’s PAIN.
Of course, the reason why is obvious. There are so many different KINDS… ranging from arthritis to neuropathies… that very few of us manage to avoid its agonizing clutches.
(It gives a whole new meaning to the old saying “no stranger to pain.”)
But when my patients come to me with pain issues, I DON’T just dash off a prescription for a painkiller and send them on their way.
Instead, I share some natural, DRUG-FREE solutions that are PROVEN effective against all kinds of pain.
Regardless of what causes YOUR particular form of agony, pain tends to have two things in common.
- It destroys your quality of life.
- The medical establishment has ZERO good long-term options to tackle it.
I’ve shared many natural, pain-relieving compounds with you before. These include herbs like turmeric, ginger, and capsaicin.
But you don’t always have to SWALLOW something to experience REAL pain relief. The following three unconventional pain solutions can have you feeling better FAST.
Drug-Free Solution #1: Mindfulness Meditation
I always recommend mindfulness meditation to folks suffering from chronic pain. The reality is your brain has a huge amount of power over your body, and meditation harnesses that power.
In fact, one study found that the brains of people who meditate respond differently to pain. And other studies CONFIRM the practice improves pain… even reducing the use of pain-relieving drugs.
You can find a local meditation center by doing a search at MeditationFinder.com.
Drug-Free Solution #2: Grounding
Combine meditation with a technique called grounding to achieve even GREATER pain relief. Simply put yourself in direct contact with the surface of the earth (barefoot or leather-soled shoes), which has a negative charge that occurs due to solar radiation and lightning strikes.
Research reveals that these negatively charged electrons go directly to the source of your pain, fighting inflammation by destroying free radicals. In one study, grounding while sleeping led to an 83 percent reduction in pain levels.
Spend at least 40 minutes daily grounded to the earth in a safe place (no lightning or electrical wires) twice a day. My favorite way to accomplish this, which I do myself every day, is walking barefoot out in nature.
Drug-Free Solution #3: Heliotherapy
Studies consistently link low vitamin D levels to chronic pain. And pain patients with low D levels typically need higher opioid doses for relief.
But when exposed to sunshine… an approach known as heliotherapy… it raises vitamin D levels while ALSO triggering the production of beta-endorphins, your body’s natural, internal opiates.
Research shows that beta-endorphins released into your blood during UV exposure can reach your brain in high enough concentrations to enhance mood and trigger relaxation.
Mainstream medicine has sold us the lie that heavy-duty drugs are the only solution to our pain. But I urge you to give these three drug-free, pain-relieving solutions a try instead. I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised by the results.
