Potent Combo SUPERCHARGES Winter Weight Loss
Many factors can sabotage your weight loss efforts this time of year.
And I’m not just talking about donuts and pumpkin spice lattes.
Comfort foods, holiday spreads, lack of sleep, certain medications, not drinking enough, drinking too many liquid calories, not eating enough fat, and so on.
But if you want to give your weight loss a BIG BOOST as we head into winter (and those holiday temptations loom), I’ve got just the thing.
It’s a two-step combo that can supercharge weight loss and improve blood sugar levels in just two months.
Probiotics are beneficial bacteria. Prebiotics are indigestible substances that become food for good bacteria.
Both are necessary for a healthy gut microbiome.
And a healthy microbiome is a KEY part of successful weight loss.
In a recent study, 55 overweight or obese adults participated in one of three groups for eight weeks:
- One group increased fiber intake by eating more fruit and vegetables.
- Another took symbiotic supplements (probiotics + prebiotic fiber).
- The third did both.
The research revealed that those who did BOTH experienced the most weight loss after two months.
They also saw measurable improvements in blood sugar control, cholesterol levels, and beneficial decreases in a harmful bacterium, called Megamonas.
Decreases in this ugly bug are linked to better body composition (less unwanted body fat).
In addition, the bacteria used in this study (Lactobacillus acidophilus NCFM and Bifidobacterium lactis HN019) have also shown to ease bloating and help with regularity.
This isn’t the first study to show that boosting the health of your microbiome with beneficial bacteria can support weight loss.
Another study using a strain called Bifidobacterium lactis B420 for six months showed that it helped reduce calorie intake, midsection fat mass, and waist circumference.
The bottom line is that your gut health can either work for you or against you as you’re trying to lose weight.
Adding more fiber and targeted probiotics to your diet will give you a leg up in your weight loss efforts this winter (or any time of the year).
