Powerful Duo DESTROYS High Blood Sugar
Whether you have type 2 diabetes or not, you should be paying attention to your blood sugar levels.
As I mentioned a few weeks ago, high blood sugar levels can increase your risk of heart disease, stroke, nerve problems, and more — even if you don’t have diabetes.
Fortunately, you don’t have to swear off cake and ice cream for the rest of your life (although I would recommend limiting them).
This powerful nutrient duo has been shown to destroy high blood sugar. Plus, it has remarkable benefits for your insulin levels and even BMI.
Some things are just better together.
Like chocolate and peanut butter.
Tonto and the Lone Ranger.
Zinc and curcumin.
Okay, those last two might not pop into your mind… but they should. Especially when it comes to their blood sugar benefits.
Both of these nutrients have individually been shown to offer glycemic benefits, but a recent study found that they might be even better when used together.
This randomized, placebo-controlled trial included 84 overweight prediabetic people who were put in one of four groups:
· Zinc only
· Curcumin only
· Zinc plus curcumin
The groups taking zinc showed the most dramatic reductions in body mass index (BMI).
And all three supplement groups experienced improvements in glycemic measures like blood sugar and insulin levels.
However, the greatest improvements were found in those taking BOTH zinc and curcumin.
This isn’t surprising, since zinc has direct effects on insulin production and secretion in your pancreas. It also impacts the formation of fat cells, plus it has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects.
And curcumin can impact body weight and is known for its strong anti-inflammatory actions.
Either way, past studies have shown their individual benefits.
Now this one shows that they could be even better when used together.
