Powerful “Sound” Therapy REWINDS Aging
You probably know all too well what it feels like when your body starts to let you down…
These days your long-gone youthful energy seems like a fleeting memory.
What you’re seeing and feeling is the cumulative effect of what’s happening on a cellular level. Or, what we know better as, “aging.”
In other words, when your cells get old and tired, YOU get old and tired!
So if you want to find an anti-aging therapy that REALLY works, it needs to target your cells directly.
In a remarkable breakthrough study (that’s SO new it hasn’t even been published in a journal yet) researchers identified a way to rejuvenate your body’s old, damaged cells.
They uncovered a virtual Fountain of Youth!
As you age, your cells stop dividing properly. This is called cellular senescence. These malfunctioning cells often stick around, secreting toxins and causing inflammation.
Senescent cells have been connected to all major diseases of aging.
To solve this problem, scientists have been looking for ways to remove these so-called “zombie” cells. But the new study took an excitingly different approach:
Rejuvenation.
Instead of kicking these dysfunctional cells to the curb, they wanted to bring them back to life.
And they found a way to do it!
Using low doses of ultrasound waves, they made senescent cells from monkeys and humans start dividing again. (Wow!)
Even more incredibly, the cells stopped producing the harmful toxins that produce collateral damage throughout the body as we age.
Human skin cells, for example, usually wear out after 15 divisions. But when they were exposed to ultrasound waves, they jumped to 24 divisions without any indication of dysfunction.
The ultrasound frequency typically used in medical imaging is about 2,000 kilohertz. The frequency used in this study was FAR less, at 100 kilohertz.
In addition to the benefits seen at the cellular level, the rodents exposed to the ultrasound waves ALSO did better in physical tests.
In other words, it’s as if their aging clock has been reversed.
This study caught my eye because using sound for healing is ALREADY an interest of mine. In fact, I just wrote an article on the healing powers of sound therapy for the February issue of my newsletter.
Sound therapy isn’t a futuristic idea. It’s as ancient as they come. It’s also being utilized RIGHT NOW to address pain, anxiety, and fatigue—and even to promote faster healing.
