The Shocking TRUTH About Statins
Most doctors prescribe statins to their patients who have high cholesterol.
But not me.
Why?
Because statins are COMPLETELY UNNECESSARY and they often cause far more harm than good.
Now, a new study has come out with possibly the most shocking revelation of all.
A study just published in the journal Heart has revealed what I’ve been saying all along: STATINS DON’T WORK.
After reviewing data from over 160,000 patients averaging 62 years old, the researchers uncovered an alarming finding.
Over HALF of the people taking statins experienced “suboptimal” lowering of cholesterol after taking the drug for two years!
Read: THEY’RE USELESS!
That means they lowered cholesterol some, but not enough to meet the standards set by the National Health Institute.
And if you’re in that category, I say lucky you!
As I’ve said for years, the research is VERY CLEAR that high cholesterol does NOT cause heart disease. But not only that, people with the highest cholesterol tend to live the longest!
And in a recent study in which researchers examined 28,000 women involved in the Women’s Health Study over a 20-year period, women who had the lowest cholesterol (less than 70 mg/dL) had more than TWICE the risk of having a stroke!
If lowering cholesterol with statins was the answer to heart disease – and 17 million Americans are taking statins – wouldn’t you expect there to be at least a small dent in heart disease numbers?
I would.
But heart disease remains the number one killer in the U.S.
In the meantime, while people taking statins may or may not experience lower cholesterol numbers, they ARE experiencing side effects like muscle pain, memory loss, mental confusion, diabetes, cataracts, heart failure, and more.
Why expose yourself to those risks for:
1). Something that doesn’t even work, and
2). Something you don’t WANT to work, anyway!
If you’re currently taking a statin drug, talk to your doctor about coming off the pill.
And if you’re worried about your heart health, try fixing it the old-fashioned way – by cleaning up your diet, getting a little exercise, and spending plenty of time in the sun.
