Stomach Trick STOPS Artery Hardening
There aren’t many guarantees in medicine – but this is as close to a guarantee as I can give.
If you keep your arteries clear, there’s a very good chance you’ll NEVER have a heart attack.
But here’s the problem…
Mainstream medicine wants you to protect your arteries by taking cholesterol-lowering statin drugs.
And that’s total nonsense, because cholesterol doesn’t cause heart problems or artery disease.
Instead, the secret to keeping your arteries clear starts the last place you’d think to look.
Your stomach.
Your microbiome is the community of billions of bacteria that live in your gut.
For optimal health, this community needs to be extremely diverse.
Lack of diversity has been liked to conditions such as irritable bowel syndrome, arthritis, psoriasis, and allergies.
Now, it has been found that a lack of gut diversity can also lead to hardening of the arteries.
Researchers compared stool and blood samples (to determine microbiome diversity) of 600 twins. They also measured blood vessel stiffness (to determine the degree of atherosclerosis, or artery hardening).
After analyzing the data, the results were clear: The gut microbiome had a direct effect on the health of the arteries.
More specifically, the less diversity there was in the family of microbes called Ruminococcaceae, the harder the arteries.
This was the first study to show the direct connection between the gut and heart health. And it offers new and powerful ways to combat this major killer.
The best way to improve the diversity of your microbiome is to eat whole, natural food – and to STOP eating processed junk food.
Also be sure to add in foods that are high in fiber and omega-3 fatty acids, and to take a high-quality probiotic.
To a brighter day,
