Take A STAND Against High Blood Pressure [EASY!]
Often, what you DON’T do is just as important as what you DO for your health.
For example, not smoking, not eating processed food, and not exposing yourself to blue light at night will go a long way toward helping you live a longer, healthier life.
The same is true for your blood pressure.
Research has just revealed a simple “don’t” that effectively reduces blood pressure levels.
Inactivity increases your risk of everything from diabetes to hypertension.
And it’s estimated that older adults are inactive for about 80 percent of the time they’re awake.
Now, recent research demonstrates just how BIG the benefits are of sitting just a little LESS.
The study included 283 adults from 60 to 89 with high blood pressure.
The goal was simple. Scientists wanted to see if the volunteers could reduce their blood pressure by decreasing their time spent sitting.
And it worked! Participants who reduced their inactivity by just 30 minutes daily had a blood pressure reduction of about 3.5 mmHg.
We know from other research that even a modest drop in blood pressure could slash your risk of developing heart disease or experiencing a major cardiovascular event, such as a stroke.
Many people don’t even bother to begin an exercise program because the recommended commitment of 150 minutes per week seems like a mountain too high to climb.
Studies like this show that you don’t have to climb the mountain… you just have to make sure you’re not camped at the bottom of it.
P.S. Easy breathing trick DIALS DOWN blood pressure.
