Now, researchers have found that just a couple handfuls of nuts can help you out in the bedroom as well.

In a study published in the journal Nutrients, 83 men who were eating a Western diet were divided into two groups: one ate about two handfuls of nuts a day, while the other didn’t. (Specifically, they were given almonds, walnuts, and hazelnuts.)

After 14 weeks, the nut group had significant increases in two measures of sexual health: orgasmic function and sexual desire.

That’s a GREAT start!  But if you really want to give your love life a boost, I’d recommend making a few other changes like losing a little weight, exercising, and de-stressing.

Lifestyle factors like these (and others) wreak havoc on your blood vessels and can do a number on your endothelial function. That’s a big problem because getting (and keeping) your sexual ability is all about being able to maintain blood flow.

And while this study proved that adding in a couple of handfuls of nuts can make a big difference – even if you don’t change anything else – imagine how much better it could be by implementing a few other lifestyle changes as well.
