The GLP-1 Side Effects NOBODY Warned Us About
It’s the same playbook Big Pharma has used over and over again to reap BILLIONS in profits.
Over-sell the benefit of the drug…
And under-sell the side effects.
And, boy, are we seeing that in full force with GLP-1 medications today.
When these drugs like semaglutide and tirzepatide hit the market, we were told to expect a little stomach upset… maybe nausea.
But it would be a small price to pay for perfect blood sugar… and effortless weight loss.
Of course, none of that was true.
The real side effects of these medications are finally being revealed… and they are frightening.
And every American deserves to hear the truth before ever agreeing to a prescription.
Trusting the drug companies to come clean about side effects is a little like trusting a used car dealer to come clean about the vehicle he’s trying to sell you.
“It runs great. It was driven by a sweet old grandma to and from church.”
But once these medications hit the market, we start getting closer to the truth. And with GLP-1s, it’s been a constant stream of bad news.
In a new study out of the University of Pennsylvania, researchers used artificial intelligence to scan real online reports from GLP-1 users on the side effects they were actually experiencing.
And it was a lot worse than the drug companies led us to believe.
Sure, there was the nausea… vomiting… diarrhea… and the full gastrointestinal nightmare we’ve come to expect.
But the problems with these drugs went much deeper than that…
I’m talking about women with disrupted menstrual cycles.
Thousands of people complaining about crushing fatigue.
And, most concerning to me, a growing list of psychological complaints, like anxiety, depression, and apathy.
I’ve been following this problem very closely with GLP-1s, and covered it in the April issue of my Natural Health Response newsletter (current subscribers can access that here).
A previous study in Scientific Reports found that, compared to patients on older obesity drugs, people taking GLP-1s were:
- 195% more likely to suffer major depression
- 108% more likely to develop anxiety
- And 106% more likely to engage in suicidal behavior
Listen, the news on these drugs keeps getting worse – and we don’t even fully know the long-term effects yet.
If you’re looking to lose weight and improve your blood sugar, you don’t need to put your physical and emotional health at risk.
I rely on the Paleo diet, which focuses on foods like meats, fish, vegetables, and nuts that our caveman ancestors would have eaten. It’s great for weight loss and blood sugar control, without all of the suffering that comes from GLP-1s.
I also practice intermittent fasting, confining all of my eating into an 8-hour window each day – that’s another proven strategy for controlling your weight and blood sugar.
