You’re staring at the ceiling… and you can practically hear the clock ticking.

But no matter how tired you are, the sleep just won’t come.

You told yourself it was stress… or just part of getting older.

But the real reason you can’t sleep may be something a whole lot simpler.

There’s a simple food additive… one we’ve always been told is safe… that could be making it impossible for you to sleep.

But here’s the good news…

A couple of simple dietary tweaks could have you poised for the best sleep of your life.

There’s a growing body of evidence that artificial food colorings could be major sleep disruptors.

And if you haven’t heard about that yet, well, I’m not surprised.

The food industry has spent decades and a fortune trying to convince us that the chemicals they dump into our foods are safe.

But, now, researchers from Brazil are proposing that these artificial food colors may interfere with the brain signaling that is necessary for a healthy circadian rhythm – our natural sleep/wake cycle.

And, really, that shouldn’t surprise anyone. Artificial food colorings are already linked to health problems like hyperactivity and irritability.

Now, to be fair, a lot of this research has involved children. But there’s no reason that these additives wouldn’t have the same effect on adult brains, too.

Now, the good news is that avoiding artificial food colorings is pretty simple – you just have to be committed.

The first step is to ditch ultra-processed foods, which are the foods that tend to incorporate these food colorings in the first place.

Instead, skip this pre-packaged, processed garbage and base your diet around REAL foods.

For example, I follow a modified version of the Paleo diet. It emphasizes foods like meats, fish, fruits, vegetables, and nuts that our caveman ancestors would have eaten.

When you follow Paleo correctly, you get ultra-processed foods – and all of the additives that come with them – out of your diet.

For lots of folks, getting started is the most intimidating part. But there are some great resources online at https://thepaleodiet.com/
