Some things are out of our control.

Take COVID-19, for example. Some people got infected despite social distancing, rigorous hand-washing, or vaccination.

But type 2 diabetes doesn’t fall into this category.

It isn’t a hereditary condition or a communicable disease that could be caught at the grocery store. It’s an epidemic that’s entirely manmade and lifestyle-related.

A recent study highlights this perfectly, showing that over 70 percent of new type 2 diabetes diagnoses are related to ONE poor choice.

If you don’t want to be burdened with type 2 diabetes, you MUST take a closer look at your diet.

In a recent study, researchers looked at 11 dietary factors to evaluate their influence on diabetes risk over nearly 30 years.

Three stood out from the crowd for contributing the MOST to the increase in type 2 diabetes:

  • Not eating enough whole grains
  • Eating too much refined rice and wheat
  • Eating too much processed meat

Now, you don’t have to cut carbs completely out of your life. But you DO need to choose quality carbs.

Junk carbs include refined grains stripped of all bran, fiber, and nutrients. These include foods like white bread, pizza dough, pasta, pastries, white flour, white rice, desserts, and many breakfast cereals.

An HONEST look at that list will tell you all you need to know about your current risk.

Better carb options include foods like quinoa, lentils, and whole grains.

This new research falls in line with other recent studies showing that a poor diet is responsible for 40-70 percent of type 2 diabetes cases worldwide.

Diet is the BIGGEST contributing factor to this devastating disease. But it’s not the only one. Researchers are FINALLY starting to grasp how critical your light environment is for pancreas and liver function.

P.S. There’s no denying it. If you’re trying to avoid type 2 diabetes, you MUST consider your diet. But it’s not just WHAT you’re eating… HOW MUCH and WHEN are critical too.
