THIS Causes Cancer to Come Back?! (Scary)
All of us have a sleeping giant within our body.
The name of that giant?
Cancer.
It’s up to you to make healthy choices in your life that will lull the beast into eternal rest.
But researchers have identified something that can reawaken dormant cancer cells in cancer survivors.
Here’s how to make sure that never happens to you.
We’re almost a year into COVID-19.
Tensions are high.
So is stress.
But if you’re a cancer survivor, you’ll want to take steps to control your stress levels—and fast.
A recent study found that high levels of the stress hormone norepinephrine can reactivate dormant tumor cells.
Researchers injected mice with dormant cancer cells. Then they restricted their movement, which increased the stress hormone norepinephrine.
This set off a domino effect, where the norepinephrine then activated neutrophil cells. These cells then released a special lipid that ultimately awakened the sleeping cancer cells.
This trend was seen in lung cancer patients as well.
When the team examined 80 lung cancer patients who had undergone surgery, 17 patients had their cancer return within three years.
In the other 63, the cancer returned much later or not at all.
What set those 17 people apart? High levels of activated neutrophils.
And as I mentioned earlier, the stress hormone cortisol can activate those neutrophil cells.
Stress wreaks havoc on your body, causing side effects ranging from upset stomach and insomnia, headaches, chest pain, and sex drive loss.
But as this study has shown, it has much more sinister side effects as well.
Whether you’ve had cancer or not, you’ll be safer and healthier if you take steps today to lower your stress levels, Including things like getting outside more… connecting with friends and family… and starting a meditation practice.
