This Condition DOUBLES Your Dementia Risk
Dementia is spreading like an epidemic in America.
Some people will tell you that it’s caused by your faulty genetics.
In reality, you have a lot of say in what diseases you do and don’t get – including dementia.
Case in point: A simple vitamin deficiency can make you twice as likely to develop dementia.
Fortunately, there are simple ways to fix your problem – and protect your brain.
I’ve talked about the benefits of vitamin D a lot over the years.
Like how it can help cancer patients live longer.
Or how it can help prevent multiple sclerosis – while also helping improve depression in patients who already have MS.
Or how boosting your vitamin D levels can help prevent the flu, reduce the number of migraines, or even improve sexual function in women.
I could go on – and I think I will.
Because today I want to tell you about another little-known benefit of this wonder nutrient: It can help protect against dementia.
In a study published in the journal Neurology, researchers looked at the blood levels of vitamin D in more than 1,600 people who did not have dementia at the beginning of the study.
Five years later, people who had vitamin D levels of 25 mnol/L were TWICE as likely to have Alzheimer’s disease or some other form of dementia.
That’s an alarming finding, considering that average vitamin D levels in the US are estimated to hover right around that 25 mnol/L mark.
That’s only a little under the current recommended levels – but it’s FAR below what current research has found to be the most beneficial… which are numbers closer to 50-80 mnol/L.
Chances are you’re not getting enough vitamin D, but I recommend getting a blood test to find out exactly where you stand.
But you don’t have to wait around for the results to start improving your levels… spend as much time outside as you can, eat more foods like salmon, eggs, and liver, and if your levels still need a boost, add in a vitamin D supplement.
Your entire body will thank you.

Coronavirus is in the news every minute of every day. And let’s face it — some of that news has been downright confusing. There are many people who have suffered horribly… and even died… from the virus. And there are other folks who hardly developed symptoms at all. That may sound odd — but it’s...
Diabetes can be a maddening disease. You try to eat healthy… you take your prescription drugs… and you still might not get your blood sugar numbers where you want them. I can tell people until I’m blue in the face to cut back on carbs and sugar… but I may as well be telling them to walk on water. In other words… it would take a miracle. But I’ve got great news today. Because researchers have found a way to have your cake and eat...
Heart failure is nothing to mess around with. In addition to being deadlier than cancer, it’s also the number one reason people over 65 are hospitalized. In fact, more people in this age group are hospitalized for heart failure than for all forms of cancer—combined. It’s an enormous problem…but there could be a surprisingly simple...
I can’t say this enough… Your first and main defense against any kind of illness is your immune system. It was designed to detect harmful objects (bacteria, pathogens, viruses, and the like), mount an all-out attack on them, and kill or remove them from your body. It’s no coincidence that people with compromised immune systems...
Do you remember the candy called Now and Later? That’s kind of like your health. What you do NOW will impact how you live LATER. As the number of coronavirus cases steadily climbs, it’s hard not to think of another pandemic the nation experienced over 100 years ago: The 1918 Spanish influenza. It was the deadliest pandemic of all time, infecting about 500 million worldwide, and killing 50 million. That’s about the entire population of California and Michigan… combined! There...
Pharmaceutical companies and surgeons have one big thing in common. They don’t get paid unless they can convince you that you need what they’re selling: Drugs and surgery. And they’ve done a bang-up job of convincing the millions of people with acid reflux that these are their only solutions. First, they sell you the lie...
“Should I be worried about the coronavirus?” I hear this question every day from patients and friends. While it’s true that the majority of people who contract the virus will come through unscathed, not everyone is so fortunate. That’s evidenced by the death toll, which is climbing daily. Researchers took a closer look at who...
