U.S. Government CAUSING 300K Strokes Per Year (Don’t Be Next!)
Once you reach a certain age, everyone is on you about reducing your stroke risk.
They’ll tell you to watch what you eat… keep your blood pressure in line… all so you don’t become one of the 795,000 Americans per year who suffer a stroke.
It’s not bad advice… except our OWN GOVERNMENT is working against us at every turn.
Up to 300,000 strokes every year are being caused by a government mandate that ignores scientific warnings.
Today, I’ll share the solution to this stroke crisis.
And I’ll reveal the stroke-dodging sleep hack that you need to start using TONIGHT.
Twice a year, we obediently change our clocks for Daylight Saving Time… and it’s coming again on November 2.
Some people love it. Some hate it.
But whatever your opinion is on the twice-a-year time shift, the science is undeniable: It’s DESTROYING your health.
A study published in PNAS used data from over 300 million Americans to determine the effect the time change has on stroke risk and obesity.
The new computational model used in this study revealed that shifting to permanent standard time—in other words, putting an END to Daylight Saving Time—could prevent 300,000 strokes and two million obesity cases PER YEAR.
These time shifts can seem so harmless. Who wouldn’t want longer daylight hours or that bonus “extra” hour of sleep?
But the reality is that every time we arbitrarily shift our clocks, we’re disrupting one of the most significant regulators of our health… circadian rhythm.
Your brain has a master clock that’s set by exposure to sunlight and darkness.
This circadian rhythm follows a roughly 24-hour cycle. It determines when we become sleepy and when we’re more alert.
But it affects far more than sleep. The one-hour time shift causes a circadian misalignment that throws your body into chaos.
It disrupts your hormones, including cortisol, melatonin, and thyroid hormones. It decreases insulin sensitivity and increases inflammation.
And it influences heart rate, blood pressure, and metabolism—putting a strain on your cardiovascular system that can take weeks to adjust to.
The risks of this circadian chaos are highest among seniors, who already have more fragile circadian systems and a higher risk of stroke. Forcing a time change twice a year is like throwing a wrench into an already-struggling system.
The only acceptable solution is to abolish the time change entirely and return to permanent standard time.
Here’s what you can do to help make that happen—and to protect yourself until it does.
Step 1: Fight back. Fight for policies that put your health ahead of convenience. Organizations like the Save Standard Time Coalition can help guide you through the steps to take action. Visit www.savestandardtime.com.
Step 2: Establish a strong circadian rhythm. The stronger your circadian rhythm is, the safer you’ll be when you’re subjected to time changes. You can get started TONIGHT.
You can establish a stronger circadian rhythm by getting morning sunlight directly in your eyes and reducing exposure to blue light after sunset. Keep a consistent sleep schedule. And eat only during daylight hours.
In the short term, four days before the end of Daylight Saving Time, start adjusting the time you go to bed by a few minutes later each night. Aim for a total adjustment of around 15 to 20 minutes by the time you reach November 2nd.
This gradual shift will help your circadian rhythm adjust to the new time, causing less of a shock to your system.
Don’t wait for policymakers to prioritize your health over outdated traditions—start strengthening your circadian rhythm today.
