[Warning] Popular Sunscreen Causes Cancer
Dear Reader,
There are few things that are worse for you than sunscreen.
Not only do these chemical lotions block out the sun, which is essential for good health, they are loaded with toxic chemicals that are POISONOUS to your body.
And now, a recent report is warning that the primary active ingredient in sunscreen could cause cancer when it is exposed to two specific things.
And you’ll never believe what they are…
Avobenzone is the most popular UV filter in the world. In fact, if you go check your sunscreen (I know you have a bottle!), I’d be willing to bet that it will be listed as the number one active ingredient.
And for good reason. This chemical does a bang-up job of blocking a wide range of UV wavelengths.
There’s just one problem. When this chemical is exposed to two specific elements, it gets broken down into chemicals that are extremely toxic.
These two elements are:
- The sun.
- Chlorine.
Yes, you read that right. Swimming outside in a pool on a summer day is the key to unlocking the most harmful chemical elements in a bottle of sunscreen.
Once that happens, avobenzone breaks down RIGHT ON YOUR SKIN into chemicals called phenols and acetyl benzenes – both of which are extremely toxic chemicals that been liked with deadly tumors and infertility.
Remember, your skin is your body’s largest organ. Everything you put ON your body gets INTO your body.
Avobenzone is just one of DONZENS of harmful chemicals found in sunscreen that could be hazardous to your health.
Another common one, oxybenzone, is known to increase estrogen activity, decrease sperm production, and it contributes to endometriosis.
And just like with avobenzone, when oxybenzone is exposed to sunlight, it’s even more dangerous! At that point, it increases the production of reactive oxygen species, which are known to cause tissue damage and increase the risk of cancer.
But there’s another problem with sunscreen. Every time you put on this chemical crap, you’re blocking out on of the most important things for your body – the sun!
Bottom line: Toss your sunscreen.
Then make sure you’re getting plenty of natural sunlight directly on your skin for at least 30 minutes a day.
To a brighter day,
