Stop Killer Cancer with SUNSHINE!?
Cancer is one of the top killers in our country.
But it doesn’t HAVE to be a death sentence.
In fact, there are already an estimated 18 million cancer survivors living in the U.S.
You can increase your chances of becoming one of these survivors with one simple step. Or better yet, you could SLASH your risk of developing the disease in the first place.
And one nutrient could hold the key.
There are ALREADY plenty of studies that show how protective vitamin D is against cancer. And that stack is growing by the day.
For example, in one study of 25,000 people, folks with the highest vitamin D levels had a 20 percent lower risk of colon cancer.
In another study of invasive cancers, women with a vitamin D level of 40 ng/ml or higher had a 67 percent lower risk of developing cancer than those with 20 ng/ml or lower.
And in yet another, researchers found that supplementing daily with vitamin D could reduce the overall risk of dying from cancer by a healthy 12 percent.
There are LOTS of ways that D boosts our overall health, from supporting our immune cells to its link to healthier blood pressure and proper kidney function.
But the primary reason vitamin D is so protective against cancer may boil down to its ability to help control cell growth. In fact, in lab studies exposing cancerous cells to vitamin D KILLS them.
And scientists theorize that high levels of the vitamin reduces cancer cells’ aggressiveness and the likelihood of them spreading.
More research is needed to pinpoint the EXACT relationship between D and cancer. But we’ve already seen some incredibly impressive data on the vitamin’s potential to protect against breast and bowel cancers.
Unfortunately, it’s estimated that over 40 percent of Americans aren’t getting enough.
To arm YOURSELF against cancer using this vital vitamin, start by getting your D levels checked. If your levels ARE low, focus on raising them.
But don’t turn to a supplement first. Ideally, a good daily dose of sunshine will do the trick.
I suggest downloading the “D Minder” app for your smartphone to determine the best times to get your shot of sun.
