Forbidden Drink SLASHES Colon Cancer Risk 32%
A few weeks ago, I highlighted the alarming increase in colon cancer in people under 55.
And I shared the results of a recent study showing that obesity is a key factor driving colorectal cancer in younger people.
Of course, thousands of us over 55 are still diagnosed with colon cancer every year.
And in people who’ve already been treated for colon cancer, the recurrence rate five years later ranges from seven percent to an alarming 42 percent, depending on the stage of the cancer.
The good news is that researchers recently identified a so-called “bad habit” that can slash your recurrence rate.
There are plenty of coffee naysayers in the world…. but I’m not one of them.
Based on science, I’ve come to understand that coffee isn’t just harmless—it’s a bonafide superfood.
What’s not to love about a beverage that can boost energy, reduce type 2 diabetes risk, support brain health, dial down depression risk, support healthy weight, protect the heart, and even help you live longer?
Now, we’ve learned that drinking a lot of coffee can be especially beneficial for anyone who has battled colon cancer.
Researchers followed over 1,700 colon cancer patients (stage I to stage III) for about six and half years. They used food frequency questionnaires to determine coffee intake.
After some data crunching, they found drinking four or more cups of coffee daily was associated with a 32 percent reduced risk of colon cancer recurrence during the follow-up period (compared to people who drank less than two cups).
Coffee drinking was ALSO linked to a reduced risk of dying during the follow-up period.
Of course, the researchers in this study assessed correlation, not causation. They also didn’t investigate how coffee slashed colon cancer risk.
But these results are still far better than anything mainstream medicine has to offer.
When you combine these new findings with those I shared a few weeks ago, you have TWO solid steps to reduce your colon cancer risk: maintain a healthy weight and drink more coffee (which, incidentally, can help you with weight control!).
P.S. Concerned about blood sugar? Coffee can help with that, too! CLICK HERE for the details.

Strange Colon Cancer Trigger Revealed
Among seniors, colon cancer rates have been decreasing. But in folks under 50, rates are increasing at an alarming rate. One likely reason for the decrease in the older population is screening procedures like colonoscopy and stool sample tests like Cologuard, which can catch pre-cancerous polyps before they cause a problem. But, regardless of your […]
