[Warning] Popular Arthritis Treatment WRECKING Your Joints?!
Your throbbing, painful knees make climbing a simple flight of stairs agonizing.
And that bum shoulder? Well, playing a round of golf with your buddies is out of the question.
If you’re struggling with chronic arthritis, I don’t blame you if you feel desperate for relief.
So when your doc promises a simple treatment that can slash pain levels for weeks… or even months… at a time, you jump at the chance.
But you just might be sending your aching joints from the frying pan… directly into the fire.
New research is showing that one of the most popular joint treatments around may be completely WRECKING your joints.
And the damage can start right from the first treatment.
Steroid injections have been marketed for decades as the “quick fix” pain solution for arthritis patients.
But this quick fix can leave you with plenty of long-term damage.
Researchers at the University of California, San Francisco, studied 70 people with knee osteoarthritis.
When they looked at folks who received steroid injections, the results were horrifying.
All of the patients completed MRIs before the injections, at the time of injection, and two years later to assess how the disease progressed over time.
Well, after two years, the poor folks who received the steroid shots had significantly greater structural damage in their joints—particularly in the cartilage—compared to the other groups.
In other words, the shots sped up disease progression, ultimately making the condition worse.
Even more shocking… the damage could result from just ONE injection!
Surprised? Don’t be.
We’ve known for ages that steroid injections can interfere with blood flow, weaken tendons and bones, and block the growth and repair of cells you need for smooth, comfortable joints.
But doctors still keep giving out these shots to every arthritis patient with a pulse.
And lots of these patients are coming back every three or four months – because when the shot wears off, the pain returns with a vengeance.
You shouldn’t have to gamble with your health to find relief from your arthritis.
Here’s a simple trick you can try – and that I swear by myself.
It’s called grounding – where you basically connect your bare feet to the Earth for at least 40 minutes a day (make sure you’re away from any power lines).
Grounding allows us to absorb electrons from the Earth’s surface, which act as natural antioxidants that fight inflammation. And inflammation is truly the cause of a lot of the pain and stiffness you experience with arthritis.
Try grounding for a few weeks and see how your joints feel – my guess is you’ll start to notice a real difference.
