[Warning] This TERRIBLE Advice Sends Your Dementia Risk SOARING
There’s no health problem seniors worry about more than dementia.
And who can blame them?
The idea of your cherished memories fading away… your loved ones becoming like strangers to you… is absolutely heartbreaking.
For years, researchers have been trying to understand why dementia strikes some seniors… and not others.
They’ve chalked it up to bad genes… or even bad luck.
But the answer may have been staring us in the face all along.
Research is showing that the real culprit behind the dementia epidemic in America may be the TERRIBLE health advice that mainstream medicine has been doling out for DECADES.
In fact, following this advice could increase your risk of Alzheimer’s by more than 50 percent.
How many times has a doctor or some other “health expert” told you to avoid sun exposure?
If you’re a bit older, you’ve probably heard this advice hundreds… or thousands… of times.
If some of these so-called health gurus had their way, you’d never go outside unless you were wrapped up like a mummy.
That’s terrible advice… and many seniors may be paying the price with their brains.
Researchers recently gathered data from 16 studies to determine the link between vitamin D deficiency and dementia.
They found that a deficiency in vitamin D was associated with a:
- 32 percent increased risk of dementia
- 34 percent increased risk of Alzheimer’s
And another study found that severe vitamin D deficiency was tied to a 51 percent increased risk of Alzheimer’s.
I’ve been warning about this for years.
The best way to keep your vitamin D levels strong is through daily exposure to sunlight. But we’re constantly being told to fear the sun, and this has left millions of Americans deficient in vitamin D.
We know now that these low vitamin D levels can put us on the fast track to dementia and a variety of other health problems.
But the problem is even worse than these researchers realized.
Getting sun exposure first thing in the morning also sets your circadian rhythm – your body’s natural sleep-wake cycle – for the day. And disruptions to our circadian rhythms have been linked to dementia, too.
Sunlight is medicine, plain and simple. Get yourself out in the sun every day and get your vitamin D levels checked regularly.
You just may end up saving your brain in the bargain.
P.S. Three MORE reasons to love vitamin D.
