5 Dead After CRAZY Weight Loss Stunt
Dear Reader,
I like balloons as much as the next guy… at birthday parties, or at company picnics, or to cheer someone up in the hospital.
But putting them inside my body? That’s where I draw the line.
Yet people are standing in line – and paying thousands of dollars – to have balloons medically inserted into them.
That’s right. The latest in the quick-fix weight-loss craze is a procedure that involves placing a balloon in your stomach and filling it with saltwater.
The idea? Crowd out your stomach so that there’s less room for food. You’re supposed to feel fuller and eat less – and ultimately lose weight.
There’s just one problem… this treatment is killing people.
Five people have died in a matter of days after getting gastric balloons.
Honestly, I’m surprised that number isn’t higher. And it’ll probably increase.
This procedure involves placing one or more balloons in your stomach using an endoscope, and then filling those balloons with a saline solution – all while you’re still awake.
I mean, what could go wrong? You know, other than blockages, the saline leaking, the balloon deflating and getting stuck…
It’s called the gastric balloon procedure, and doctors are selling it as a safer method than the alternative weight loss surgeries.
Don’t be fooled. “Safer” doesn’t mean “safe.”
The main difference between the balloon procedure and other weight loss surgeries is that this one is only temporary. The balloons only stay in until you lose the weight.
The procedure is temporary…and I can guarantee you the results will be too – because it doesn’t fix the underlying problem.
Most people who are morbidly obese have a signaling problem in their brain. The hormone leptin, which is supposed to tell your brain when the stomach is full, isn’t working.
It’s not that the signal isn’t there… it’s that the brain isn’t listening to it. Think of it like the boy who cried wolf.
Until that signal gets restored, you’ll gain every pound back – and then some.
The good news is that you don’t have to swallow a saltwater-filled balloon to make your brain “think” your stomach is full.
In just 3 simple steps, you can actually get your stomach and your brain talking again:
- Have a high protein breakfast
- Eat three meals a day, no snacking, and no eating in the evening.
- Those meals should be low carb.
In 6 weeks or less, your signals should be working again, and your cravings will be a thing of the past. Only then can you get on the road to PERMANENT weight loss.
And then the balloons can stay where they belong… at a birthday party.
To a brighter day,
