The results should completely change how we think about blood pressure treatment.

The two standout performers were the DASH diet and the Paleo diet.

The DASH diet consistently lowered systolic blood pressure — especially in adults with hypertension.

But the Paleo diet was even more impressive.

Researchers found it delivered major improvements not only in blood pressure… but also in overall metabolic health.

That’s critical because high blood pressure rarely exists in isolation.

It’s usually part of a much larger metabolic disaster involving:

  • Insulin resistance
    • Chronic inflammation
    • Excess body fat
    • Blood sugar dysfunction
    • And mitochondrial damage

Personally, I think the Paleo-style approach is one of the smartest long-term strategies for blood pressure and metabolic health. It naturally eliminates much of the ultra-processed junk that’s devastating cardiovascular health worldwide.

The Paleo diet focuses on foods humans actually evolved eating:

  • Fish
    • Meat
    • Vegetables
    • Fruits
    • Nuts
    • Healthy fats

And removes many of the industrialized processed foods driving obesity, insulin resistance, and hypertension in the first place.

Now, you won’t hear much about this diet from mainstream docs. They often dismiss it as a “trend”.

But I don’t think these kinds of blood pressure results ever go out of style.

If you’re struggling with high blood pressure, talk with your doctor about getting started on the Paleo diet.

Because improving your diet may lower blood pressure enough that your medications need adjustment.

And that’s a conversation worth having.
