Easy Fix STOPS Breast & Prostate Cancer
They’re two of the most feared diseases around: breast and prostate cancer.
Most doctors will tell you that early detection is your key to beating these cancers.
That’s right… they want you to find the cancer AFTER you already have it.
I have a better idea – how about we keep you from getting cancer in the first place?
According to a new study, there’s a simple way to do just that—and it involves changing one simple lifestyle habit.
I’ve been preaching from my soapbox about the dangers of artificial blue light for years.
This is the light you get from computer, TV, and phone screens – and from those new, energy-efficient light bulbs.
Now, blue light has been linked to an increased risk of breast and prostate cancer.
To determine this, researchers compared 2,000 patients with breast or prostate cancer to 2,000 cancer-free patients.
Turns out that those exposed to high levels of blue light at night had a 1.5-fold higher risk of developing breast cancer, and up to a 2.5-fold higher risk of developing prostate cancer.
Interestingly, the study also looked at the risks of lights in the green and red spectrums, and found zero increased risk of cancer.
The researchers were surprised—but I’m not.
When you’re exposed to blue light at night, it decreases melatonin. That’s the sleep hormone that helps to regulate your body’s internal clock—your circadian rhythm.
Basically, your body can’t tell night from day.
Studies have already shown that a disruption in circadian rhythm is tied to cancer.
The other problem with lowering melatonin at night is that melatonin is important for suppressing the growth of hormone-dependent cancers… like breast and prostate!
The best way to avoid blue light at night is to get special glasses that it. I personally use Uvex Blue-Blocking Safety Glasses, which you can get on Amazon. I also recommend placing blue-blocking screens over your TV and computer.
To a brighter day,
