Annual Ritual Sends Heart Attack Risk SOARING
I’ve sounded the alarm about Daylight Saving Time for YEARS.
People used to look at me like I had a screw loose when I warned them that messing with the clocks was messing with their health.
But now they’re singing a different tune. The science on the dangers of Daylight Saving Time is so strong that the topic is finally getting attention at the highest levels.
In fact, President Trump vowed to try and eliminate this dangerous practice. Clearly, nothing has changed this year, but I hope it will be banned in the future.
Here’s why the “end Daylight Saving Time” movement is finally gaining so much traction.
The problem with arbitrarily changing the clocks is that you’re disrupting your body’s circadian rhythm overnight.
In addition to losing a critical hour of sleep, springing forward throws off your body’s master clock—disrupting the tiny internal “clocks” in all of your organs and tissues.
Every function in your body—including metabolism, cellular repair, hormone release, eating habits, and more—is governed by your circadian rhythm.
And this vital clock is set to follow the rhythm of the sun.
While an hour might not seem like a big deal, research reveals otherwise.
In the days following Daylight Savings Time, there’s a measurable increase in heart attacks, strokes, suicides, and fatal car crashes.
In fact, two studies found that hospitals see a 24 percent increase in heart attacks the Monday after the clocks change.
BOTH of these studies also showed that there was a 21 percent DROP in heart attacks after returning to the standard time in the fall.
Ischemic strokes also rise by eight percent in the days following Daylight Savings Time.
In the long term, circadian disruption is associated with an increased risk of heart problems, cancer, metabolic syndrome, immune dysfunction, mood disorders, learning deficits, reproductive issues, and even premature death.
Those already at high risk for health issues are most vulnerable to the harmful effects of the time change.
Now that we’re in Daylight Savings Time, the best thing you can do for your health is to use those extra hours of daylight to spend more time in the sun.
And be sure to get up with the sun to set your circadian rhythm, no matter what the time on the clock actually says.
P.S. Daylight Savings Time is already messing with your critical body clock, raising your risk for heart attack, stroke, and more. Reset your circadian rhythm to REVERSE your risk of these deadly health threats. Click here to get all the details on my Circadian Reset Protocol.
