RESTORE Your Memory with This Compound Duo
When your memory starts to slip, it can change your entire life.
And it’s not just about losing your keys or forgetting a name. It’s about not being able to find your way home, making poor decisions with your money, and having difficulty following a conversation.
There might not be a cure for Alzheimer’s yet, but there are two wonder compounds that can restore some of the memories it takes from you.
And they are likely sitting in your refrigerator right now.
Many Alzheimer’s patients have issues with their spatial working memory, a technical term for the mental effort it takes to find your way out of a building.
It’s one of those things you take for granted until, well, you can’t find your way out of a building.
But recent research has found that keeping your spatial working memory in good working order could be found in two key compounds: epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG) and ferulic acid (FA).
In a study published in the Journal of Biological Chemistry, researchers put healthy mice and mice with Alzheimer’s-like symptoms in a maze test that tested their spatial working memory.
As expected, the healthy mice easily found their way in and out of the maze, while the Alzheimer’s mice couldn’t.
But then something remarkable happened.
When they gave the Alzheimer’s mice a combination of EGCG and FA, it completely restored their spatial working memory.
Ultimately, the Alzheimer’s mice were able to complete the maze as well as the healthy mice.
I was especially impressed that these compounds didn’t just prevent problems with memory, but that they restored them.
That’s a big deal for a progressive, incurable disease.
And while more research would need to be done to prove a definitive cause and effect, there is no reason not to load up on the foods that contain lots of EGCG and FA.
EGCG is found in green tea, and FA is a component of carrots, rice, tomatoes, wheat, and oat.
