Dangerous Disease Duo Is KILLING Seniors
Some famous duos are good…
Simon and Garfunkel, Han Solo and Chewbacca, and peanut butter and chocolate come to mind.
But others aren’t so good.
Now, researchers have found that if you have one particular duo of diseases… you could be DEAD within the year.
Here’s what you need to know.
Heart failure and diabetes are two conditions you want to do everything you can to avoid.
Heart failure causes chest pain, shortness of breath, swelling, and weakness… and can lead to complications like kidney and liver damage, and heart valve problems.
And diabetes leads to nerve, kidney, and eye damage, cardiovascular disease, Alzheimer’s disease, and more.
It’s safe to say that each condition is bad enough on its own. But when they’re combined, things go from bad to worse.
In a study published in the Journal of the American Heart Association, researchers analyzed 6,200 patients involved in the ASIAN-HF study.
They found that having both heart failure and diabetes creates structural issues in your heart, poorer quality of life, an increased risk of being hospitalized, and—worst of all—an increased risk of being dead within a year.
Since BOTH of these conditions are preventable, you owe it to yourself (and your loved ones) to stay on top of your heart health and your blood sugar levels.
And it just so happens that many of the same lifestyle adjustments that can prevent one can prevent the other as well.
You can start by spending more time in the sun, getting up off the couch and moving more, and cutting out the processed, sugar-laden junk food and opting for organic whole foods instead.
