The Most DANGEROUS Way to Treat Depression
When you hear about drug side effects, you expect them to include symptoms that make you uncomfortable.
You know… like maybe an upset stomach or some nausea.
You’re not expecting side effects that could kill you.
But if you’re taking any of the most popular antidepressants, that’s exactly what could end up happening.
Because a new study has revealed that taking these drugs might be the worst thing you can do for your health.
And it might be the last.
Sending a depressed patient home with a prescription for an antidepressant is like handing them a loaded gun.
If that sounds extreme, you’re darn right it is.
Drug companies have been denying the connection between antidepressants and suicide for years, but a recent study is going to make that line of BS a lot harder to sell.
According to the study, taking these drugs DOUBLES the risk of suicide and aggressive behavior.
This review included 70 trials of the most common antidepressants and involved more than 18,000 people—making it the biggest review ever looking into the connection between antidepressants and suicide.
This finding was specifically in people under 18, but there’s no imaginary line that someone crosses after they turn 18 that would make older adults immune to this side effect.
Even worse, plenty of studies indicate that these drugs don’t even work in children, making the results even more tragic than they already were (if that’s possible).
But the bad news keeps getting worse. Because this study revealed another disturbing fact: The drug companies have known about this connection—and they’ve been covering it up for years.
Instead of acknowledging suicide attempts or thoughts, they use terms like “emotional instability.” In fact, it turns out the drug companies left out suicide attempts 90% OF THE TIME when discussing the risks of their medications.
I’d wish I could say I was shocked by such blatant disregard for human life…but when it comes to Big Pharm and Big Money, nothing surprises me anymore.
Antidepressant use has skyrocketed by 65% percent over the past decade or so—making these dangerous drugs one of the top three classes of drugs prescribed in the U.S.
It’s time to sound the alarm before the death toll continues to rise.
The specific drugs in the study included fluoxetine (more commonly known as Prozac), duloxetine, sertraline, and venlafaxine—drugs in the two main drug classes, SSRIs and SNRIs.
If you or a loved one is taking any of these drugs, talk to your doctor about your concerns—and about alternatives.
Your very life could depend on it.
To a brighter day,
