"Diaphragm Dumbbell" Dials Down Blood Pressure
They call high blood pressure “the silent killer” for a reason. It can quietly do damage for YEARS before your first symptoms appear.
And once they do, the clock is ticking to get your numbers under control. Because if you don’t, your risk of a heart attack or stroke goes through the roof.
You see, high blood pressure damages your arteries, making them less flexible. Ultimately, this robs your heart of the blood and oxygen it needs.
But knowing you need to get your blood pressure under control and making it happen are two very different things. It can be quite a challenge… ESPECIALLY if you don’t like taking the heavy-duty meds your doc will prescribe.
But recent research revealed an easy “Diaphragm Dumbbell” trick that lowers blood pressure. This simple, drug-free solution only takes five minutes a day and can work as well as drugs.
Now you don’t need me to tell you that exercise is heart healthy. Or even that it’s a fantastic way to bring down your blood pressure.
But the truth is the majority of folks with hypertension DON’T exercise.
The good news?
You DON’T have to exercise to start bringing your blood pressure down.
In a study published in the Journal of the American Heart Association, researchers measured the effectiveness of high-resistance IMST (inspiratory muscle strength training} on blood pressure.
This “Diaphragm Dumbbell” technique is like strength training for your breathing muscles.
The study included adults from 50-79 with elevated blood pressure. Half did high-resistance IMST exercises for five minutes a day, six days per week. The other half did a low-resistance placebo exercise.
After six weeks, systolic blood pressure had dropped by an average of nine points for the folks in the IMST group.
That means these simple breathing exercises are JUST AS effective as common blood pressure drugs. And they’re even MORE effective than walking 30 minutes per day, five days a week.
But that’s not even all the benefits the volunteers experienced. The five-minute breathing exercises also led to a 45 percent improvement in endothelial function and reduced inflammation and oxidative stress.
ALL of which are risk factors for heart attacks.
Performing high-resistance IMST couldn’t be easier. You simply inhale through a handheld device that provides resistance to your breathing. You’ll find them on Amazon.com for less than $25.
Give it a try and see what five minutes a day can do for your blood pressure, heart, and overall health.
P.S. Once you’re watching your diet, exercising, and prioritizing sleep, chances are you’ll see your blood pressure improve. But lots of folks still need a little extra support. Consider these five top-performing supplements.
