As an added benefit, they also had lower blood sugar levels, lower blood pressure, and lower cholesterol levels. 

For a 200-pound individual, 5% is just 10 pounds. So to lose 5% of your weight over a year, that’s less than one pound per month! 

Anyone should be able to lose 10 pounds for such dramatic health benefits. 

But once you hit the 5% mark… why stop there?  

While we’ve seen that losing a moderate amount of weight can curb your heart disease risk, shedding all of those extra pounds can actually reverse type 2 diabetes.
