Imagine going through life with a smudge on the center of your eyeglasses.

That’s what it’s like for people with age-related macular degeneration (AMD). Except they can’t simply clean off their glasses to make their vision crystal clear again.

This blurring of your central vision doesn’t render you completely blind, of course.

But I’m sure you can imagine how difficult (and eventually impossible) it would be to do everyday activities like reading and driving—or to recognize the faces of your loved ones.

And believe it or not, researchers are now touting a natural treatment for this leading cause of blindness.

Fish oil is a dietary source of omega-3 fatty acids. One particular omega-3, called DHA, is especially important for eye health.

Your eyes contain cells that make vision possible. These photoreceptors contain more DHA than ANY other cell in your body.

Having healthy DHA levels are critical for maximizing retinal function and protecting your eyes from damage from oxidative stress (like from blue light exposure at night).

There’s just one problem. And it’s a doozy…

Taking an omega-3 fatty acid supplement can increase your blood levels of DHA. The trouble is it CAN’T increase DHA in your eyes because of the blood-retinal barrier.

But scientists have created a NEW type of fish oil supplement that can cross over from your bloodstream directly into your retina. Once there it can help support all of those functions that are vital for healthy eyes and vision.

In addition to helping prevent AMD, boosting the DHA content in the retina could also help reduce the retinal dysfunction associated with conditions like Alzheimer’s disease and diabetes.

In a mouse study, this unique fish-oil supplement led to an incredible 96 percent improvement rate in the ability of the fish oil to preserve the structure and function of the retina. Plus, it reduced eye problems related to Alzheimer’s disease.

And these are things a regular fish oil supplement did NOT accomplish.

What makes this fish oil different is the addition of LPC (lysophospholipid) which helps the DHA cross the blood-retinal barrier.

I have no doubt that Big Pharma will latch on to this idea and soon will try to sell you a new form of LPC-DHA drug.

But you can get LPC-DHA RIGHT NOW from fish roe.

So if you need an extra boost for your eye health I recommend eating herring, salmon, or lumpfish roe a few times per week.
