Is Your Favorite Snack Harming Your HEART?
Cases of heart disease and diabetes continue to climb despite mainstream medicine’s best efforts to fight them.
That’s because no amount of Big Pharma wonder drugs can undo the damage caused by the daily poor choices people make.
One of those poor choices involves a habit many people do daily without realizing it could singlehandedly cause heart disease or type 2 diabetes…
You know you consume a lot of sugar when you eat cake or ice cream.
But what about a can of soda? That glass of OJ with breakfast? Or the “healthy” kombucha drink from your local grocery store?
The reality is that most folks are consuming FAR more sugar from sugar-sweetened beverages than they realize—and it’s impacting MUCH more than their waistlines.
In a recent study, researchers evaluated the impact of sugar-sweetened drinks on the incidence of heart disease and type 2 diabetes.
They included drinks with added sugar and more than 50 calories per 8-ounce serving.
Overall, they determined that, worldwide, sugar-sweetened drinks are linked to…
- 8 percent of type 2 diabetes cases and
- 1 percent of heart disease cases.
Of course, this isn’t a cause-and-effect study, so more research is needed.
But regardless of the specifics, it’s clear that these sugary drinks can cause far more damage than most people realize.
By replacing them with healthier options like water, tea, or coffee, you’ll cut the sugar and combat the very conditions the sugary stuff can cause.
P.S. The blood sugar warning EVERYONE should hear.
