KILL Cancer With The Common Cold?!
You’ve probably heard the saying, “Fighting fire with fire.”
This concept doesn’t always work… and often can make things worse.
But that’s not the case when it comes to cancer cells.
That’s why researchers have come up with a revolutionary new anti-cancer treatment.
It involves infecting cancer cells with the common cold. And believe it or not, it can actually completely destroy cancer cells.
Here’s what you need to know.
No one likes to get a cold. And as it turns out, neither do cancer cells.
That’s right… giving cancer cells a common cold virus could be the key to their destruction.
In a study published in Clinical Cancer Research, researchers exposed 15 patients with non-muscle invasive bladder cancer to the virus CVA21 (coxsackievirus), a strain of the common cold.
The individuals had the virus directly inserted into their bladder via a catheter.
The researchers then discovered that the CVA21 virus only targeted cancer cells, leaving the healthy cells untouched.
Even better, the majority of the patients experienced cell death in their tumors. And in one person, the cancer completely DISAPPEARED.
That’s a remarkable feat for any treatment and any form of cancer. But it is particularly exciting considering the fact that this type of cancer is particularly difficult to treat.
The “safest” treatment doesn’t really work – with a 50-70% recurrence rate. Another treatment that works a little better comes with horrible side effects.
So like so many other types of cancer, we’re in desperate need of safe and effective treatment for non-muscle invasive bladder cancer.
And according to this study, the answer could be in something as simple as the common cold.
