This KILLER is Hiding in Your Garage!
Dear Reader,
It’s summertime. And that means you can hardly walk in to a Home Depot or a Walmart without seeing shelves and shelves of weed killer.
But if you’re tempted to buy those bottles of Roundup, JUST KEEP WALKING.
Roundup might be great at killing weeds… but it’s pretty good at killing you, too.
Studies have linked Roundup to everything from kidney disease to cancer.
And while chemical giant Monsanto has been trying to hide Roundup’s dangers for years, it looks like the cat is finally (and permanently) out of the bag.
After years of legal wrangling, the state of California has officially classified glyphosate (the main ingredient in Roundup) as a carcinogen.
This means that any product sprayed with glyphosate will have to have a warning label on the packaging saying that it could give you cancer.
If you ask me, we ought to be banning Roundup completely… but a warning is a step in the right direction.
Because unfortunately, most Americans are in the dark about the dangers of herbicides like Roundup. The very fact that these products are lining the shelves of our most popular stores makes them seem completely harmless.
After all, who would knowingly sell a product that could give you cancer? Anyone who can make a buck, that’s who.
Unfortunately, you don’t have to spray Roundup on your weeds to be exposed to this cancer-causing chemical—because it’s being dumped on your food as well.
One of the main problems with glyphosate is that it inhibits our bodies’ ability to detox the chemicals we’re exposed to.
In other words, the active ingredients sprayed on most of the foods we eat – plus sprayed on the weeds on our lawns — reduces our ability to get rid of all the other thousands of chemicals that build up in our bodies and make us sick.
So it’s no surprise that when animals were exposed to glyphosate, they started developing giant tumors.
Again, it’s shocking that this stuff is still being sold anywhere.
So how do you protect yourself?
It’s simple.
First, don’t buy Roundup!
Second, eat organic whenever you can. This has the dual benefit of helping you avoid GMOs and toxic herbicides.
Organic produce will cost you a bit more… but it sure beats getting cancer.
To a brighter day,
Dr. Richard Gerhauser, M.D.
