2 Must-Have Nutrients LOWER Heart Disease Risk
Heart disease is the number one killer in the US, and unfortunately, that doesn’t appear to be changing anytime soon.
People with heart disease have a higher risk of heart attacks, strokes, and of dying sooner.
And now that COVID-19 has swept the globe, the risk of heart disease is EVEN GREATER.
That’s because if you have heart disease, you have a much greater risk of contracting COVID-19… and of dying from it.
If you haven’t already, it’s time to start taking your heart disease risk seriously.
Fortunately, researchers just identified two key nutrients that can dramatically reduce your risk of heart disease.
Researchers examined data on 70,000 people collected over 10 years. They wanted to see if the people who took supplements regularly had a lower risk of heart disease compared to those who didn’t.
They also took into account whether the people followed a generally healthy — or unhealthy — diet.
First, they found that the people who ate an unhealthy diet had a higher risk of heart disease.
No surprise there.
But in people who followed a generally healthy diet, two particular supplements were found to reduce their risk of heart disease even further:
Fish oil and calcium.
There was a catch, though.
In people who followed an unhealthy diet, taking these two supplements did NOT lower the risk of heart disease.
In other words, while they can give an extra heart-healthy boost to an already healthy diet, there are no shortcuts to good health.
I hope you’re already taking steps to improve your heart health — and your overall health in general.
One important way to do that is by tuning in to my articles.
But as this recent study showed, another is to add in fish oil and calcium.
Your heart will thank you.
P.S. As important as it is to know what can benefit your heart, it’s equally important to know what is harmful. And there’s one popular drink that’s skyrocketing your heart disease risk. Go here now to find out the facts.
