Morning Drink Slashes Diabetes Risk 60%!
I’ve been a doctor for 37 years now.
Yet even after all these years in the business, I’m still amazed at how often mainstream medicine gets it wrong.
I could give you pages of examples.
But for today, I’m highlighting a drink that’s been on the “do not drink list” for too long… especially considering that drinking it can REDUCE your risk of prostate cancer, dementia, and heart disease.
Now there’s a study showing it can lower your risk of diabetes, too.
Most days, when I sit down to write these health articles, I have a piping hot cup of coffee next to my computer.
I don’t drink it to help wake me up (my body’s natural circadian rhythm and a good dose of morning sun do the trick for that).
Instead, I drink it because it’s one of the healthiest drinks on the planet.
Prostate cancer, heart disease, dementia, stroke—even rosacea—you can lower your risk of all of these conditions simply by drinking more coffee.
And according to a study published in the Journal of Internal Medicine, coffee can lower your risk of type 2 diabetes as well.
Specifically, drinking two cups of coffee per day for seven years lowered the risk of type 2 diabetes by 60% (compared to people who drank less than one cup of coffee per day).
This helps confirm a study from a few years ago showing that people who REDUCED their coffee intake by a cup or more per day INCREASED their risk of diabetes by 17%.
There’s a catch, though.
This beneficial effect is exclusive to filtered coffee. And it makes sense because the filter helps to strain out a chemical called diterpenes that can actually increase cholesterol levels.
And one more thing.
By “coffee,” I don’t mean those sugary, high-priced espresso drinks that pass as coffee these days.
I’m talking about good, old-fashioned, slow-drip coffee.
You can pour in some full-fat milk. Just be sure to skip the sugar.

Illuminating Solution SLASHES Cancer and Heart Disease Risk
Despite all the money we dump into the healthcare system, heart disease and cancer STILL kill over 1.3 million people in the US every year. And that number won’t be changing anytime soon. But instead of throwing millions of dollars at doctor’s visits, state-of-the-art testing, treatment, and drugs, I have a better idea. It doesn’t […]
