Rare Berry DESTROYS Cancer, Heart Disease, and Diabetes!
Antioxidants have become a buzz word in the health world in recent years—and for good reason.
These microscopic Pac-Men circulate throughout your body, gobbling up “bad guy” free radicals that contribute to aging and disease.
More antioxidants = fewer free radicals.
Some foods offer higher amounts of antioxidants, giving you more bang for your health buck.
But it turns out that the BEST source of antioxidants is something you’ve NEVER heard of… and it can DESTROY cancer, diabetes, and heart disease.
Here’s how to get more of it.
When it comes to good-for-you fruits, berries top the list.
But there’s one berry in particular that rises above the rest… and you’ve probably never even heard of it.
They’re called Aronia berries or chokeberries.
They are small, dark berries that resemble blueberries—but they pack an even bigger nutritional punch.
These tiny berries have the highest antioxidant capacity among berries and other fruits.
But they are also an impressive source of fiber, vitamins A, C and E, manganese, folate, and iron. They even contain protein.
They’re also loaded with compounds called polyphenols, which include phenolic acids, anthocyanins, and flavanols.
It should hardly be surprising, then, that these nutrient-packed berries are really good for you.
Because of their high antioxidant content, Aronia berries can inhibit free radical activity. Free radicals cause oxidative stress, which contributes to major health problems like heart disease and cancer.
In fact, studies show their specific benefits against both major conditions.
One study found that supplementing with Aronia extract every day for two months led to a significant decrease in triglycerides, LDL cholesterol, and total cholesterol.
Another study showed the same benefits… with the addition of lowering blood pressure.
Both of these studies were done on people with metabolic syndrome—a condition that dramatically increases your risk of developing diabetes, or of a heart attack or stroke.
Aronia’s anti-cancer benefits seem particularly effective against colon cancer.
One study showed Aronia extract reduced the growth of colon cancer cells by 60%… and another found that these berries could stop the growth of cancer cells altogether!
One last thing.
Because Aronia berries can give your immune system a boost, they have been found to dramatically reduce urinary tract infections (by up to 55%) and to help protect against the virus that causes the flu.
By now you might be wondering if these berries are so good for you, why haven’t you heard of them?
It’s because while they may look like blueberries, they’re not nearly as sweet. In fact, Aronia berries are somewhat astringent and can leave your mouth feeling like sandpaper.
Not exactly something you look forward to snacking on throughout the day.
But there are plenty of ways to include this superfood in your diet without eating them straight from the carton. Toss them in juices or smoothies, include them in muffins or cakes, or look for a tea made from their berries.
Of course, you could skip the food altogether and go straight for a powdered berry supplement.
