The REAL Cause of Brain Fog
We’ve all been there before.
Maybe you walk into a room and totally blank on why you’re there… or maybe you spend 15 minutes in a grocery store aisle looking for an ingredient that’s right in front of you.
You might think that “senior moments” like these are just a part of getting older.
But for millions of us it’s not.
You see, researchers have just discovered the REAL cause of your brain fog.
And believe it or not, it has nothing to do with your age.
Brain fog is almost always a symptom of a larger issue.
Sometime it’s simply due to lack of sleep or stress, but it can also be a symptom of a seemingly unrelated medical condition.
And that’s just the case with rheumatoid arthritis.
In a recent study, published in the journal Nature Communications, found that the same chronic inflammation that attacks your joints can also negatively impact your brain.
Researchers conducted MRI scans on patients with rheumatoid arthritis and they found a link between the inflammation from arthritis and changes in patterns of brain connections.
The RA patients also had less gray matter in the area of the brain that involves language processing and problem solving.
It’s these brain changes that cause brain fog associated with arthritis.
If you’re suffering from rheumatoid arthritis AND brain fog, this is GREAT news.
It means that by reducing general inflammation, you could not only improve the joint pain associated with arthritis… but also to help improve your brain function.
Key ways to cut inflammation include eating foods that fight inflammation like fish, olive oil and green tea. And by cutting out foods that cause inflammation like sugar, vegetable oils and fried foods.
And it never hurts to spend more time in the sun.
To a brighter day,
